Be happy...

For many years I educated my children with the sole intention of preparing them for college. My thinking has now changed and I am trying harder to prepare them for life. I want them to be able to make it in this world on their own. Our world is full of over educated people who cannot find jobs. I now believe that being skilled at a variety of things is essential to succeeding in our changing world. Honestly, I don't care if my children decide to be plumbers or look into Medical Equipment Preparer Jobs as long as they are able to find a way to support themselves. Ideally, I want to prepare my children to be their own bosses and find a career that enables them to provide for themselves no matter what comes their way. Learning self-sustainable skills is what I now believe to be more important than having perfect SAT scores.
