Homeschooling...

This will be our fourth year of homeschooling our children. At this point in our lives it seems like a completely natural thing for our family. Dropping my son off at school is but a vague memory. I love the way homeschooling has given our family freedom to live life on our terms. If my children want to spend time learning more about a particular subject they are not restricted in any way by a particular school schedule. I often find myself looking for scholastic coupons in order to buy more books on topics that they are particularly interested in. I realize that children in traditional school can pursue these interests but typically they must wait until the end of the school day to do so. I love being able to tell my children to go right ahead and research whatever it is they are wanting to know more about on the spot. I believe this makes them more enthusiastic about learning and creates a richer educational experience for them.
