Farming fish...

I have hatched a new plan for raising our sustainable lifestyle to the next level. It involves fish and a 55 gallon barrel. Numerous online resources suggest that it is possible to raise fish in your backyard or garage using and aquaponics setup. Since we are heavily into gardening and love fish this seems like a perfect combination of the two. Fish is not something I normally buy at the market because it is never from local sources and I don't trust fish shipped from around the world. We do attempt to fish locally but haven't had a great deal of success catching anything worth keeping. Hopefully this plan actually comes together and next summer I can report that we are about to harvest our own home grown fish!
