A night on the town.

The weather has been so utterly miserable that we haven't been leaving the house much. Last night we broke down and took the children out to run errands. Our first stop was the library. We picked up a vast array of books and also ran into some friends while there. As usual the weather changed dramatically during our visit. We received an unexpected shower of freezing rain. When we left the parking lot was completely iced over. I had to hold onto the handicapped signs for a moment to catch myself from falling. The children enjoyed ice skating their way to the car but I can't say that I felt the same way. Once in the car our night on the town was cut short and we promptly headed home. Maybe this weekend we will be able to finish running our errands. I haven't seen the weather forecast for this weekend but maybe there is hope that the weather will hold out.
