Simple holiday.
One thing we have really cut back on this year is our shopping habits. We have made a conscious effort not to spend money on things we absolutely do not need. The other thing we try to do is buy quality items when we do buy them. This may mean we spend more money on an item but we buy with the intent that it will last a long time. We all know there is quite a difference between a Ulysse Nardin watch and one that you buy from Goodwill. When making purchases we try to decide what the item will be used for and how frequently it will be used. Investing in items that are made to last through repeated uses means a better return on our investment. Spending more at the onset usually means a product designed to last the test of time. This will surely be a plan we employ when it comes to buying Christmas gifts this year. Gone are the times when we fulfill the wildest expectations of each person on our shopping list.
