Movies are new again.

We are heading into the second week of not having satellite television. So far our children are none the worse for it. Our younger son has not asked once to watch PBS, Nick Jr., or even Sprout. I am a bit shocked to say the least. I expected that at least once he would ask but he hasn't. Our older son never wanted to watch DVD's once we got satellite. Almost immediately he started pulling out movies that he hasn't watched in ages. It has been a couple of years since we got satellite and the movies have seen little use in that time. Now it is like we are getting a second use out of all of these movies because they seem fresh and new to the children. At some point I will break down and get a subscription to Netflix but for now we will watch what we have. When they show signs of boredom with our own very large collection I will then look into Netflix.
