Our cow.
Last year we bought a quarter of a cow from a local farmer. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of the beef. This year the opportunity presented itself for us to buy a half a cow. This is different because this cow will be grass fed instead of corn fed. I am hoping that the flavor will be even better. The only thing I am slightly concerned about is the cost of the beef. We knew that butchering fees would be tacked on top of the price per pound for the beef but we had no idea just how high these were going to be. I now have to budget for several hundred dollars in beef that I was not expecting. This had better be AMAZING beef!
