Optimism
Yesterday was one of those days where everyone in our house was grumpy. My husband came home in pain and just seemed depressed. The main thing on his mind was how his injuries, from the accident, are going to impact him in the future. He mentioned several times how this ankle injury was probably going to mean he would have arthritis when he gets older. He went so far as too say he hoped that it wouldn't keep us from living out our dream of retiring and traveling the world in an RV. I told him to think positively and that we would still be looking for rv financing even if he ended up with an arthritic ankle. The worst that could happen would be that he would have to sit in the back of the RV and nap while I drove around the country. For some reason he did not find the idea of me behind the wheel a very reassuring picture of his retirement.
