First summer

This is going to be our first spring and summer in our new house. We have never had a home with a finished basement and really have no idea if there is anything we need to do differently when the humidity starts to rise. The house came with a pair of dehumidifiers which leads me to believe we will need to run them. I just don't really have a clue how often to run them or when to start running them. So far I don't see where any mold or whatnot has accumulated in the basement so I am assuming this will be an issue more when the weather gets warmer. If you have any experience with them please drop a comment or offer any advice you might have as I would appreciate the insight!
