Mushroom bust...

I posted a while ago about attempting to grow oyster mushrooms in bags in my house. The project was going splendidly until the last couple of days. The bags had started to show pretty decent growth and I was feeling good about my project. Then I started having a weird reaction on my hands whenever I touched the mushroom bags. I didn't think much about my hands. But them the reaction had become a full blown allergic episode over the last 3 days that wouldn't go away. My nose ran like water and my eyes, face, and tongue were swollen. It occurred to me this morning that possibly I was allergic to my mushroom bags. I looked this up online and found out it was very likely that people growing mushrooms indoors would develop allergies to them. I already knew I was allergic to mold but hadn't considered mushrooms. I immediately moved the bags outside and completely cleaned the house. Within hours I felt better. I will not be growing mushrooms indoors again...
