My oldest son just got back from his very first overnight camping trip with his Boy Scout troop. In fact this is his very first overnight trip anywhere that didn't involve time spent with someone in our family. As you can imagine this was a big deal for all of us. As parent every worst possible scenario runs through your mind when you send your child out of your sight. Happily, he reported that the trip went very well and that he had a good time. He seems quite tired and I haven't pressed him too much about the details of his weekend. I have assured myself that he is of sound mind and body and will wait until later to find out all the details.
