Cake competition

This week is the annual cake auction and judging for my son's Boy Scout troop. The last time we participated in a cake auction and judging we won for most creative. That sets a pretty high bar for our participation this year. I know that my son needs to learn that he can't win every time but he still wants to do as well as possible. I spent this morning crafting chocolate covered marshmallow penguins that will then sit atop an iceberg cake that we will craft tomorrow. I have no idea if this is a winning cake or not but I know that we put our best efforts forth. My children both love the way the penguins look and that is praise enough for me.
