A handful.

Everyone that I know who has daughters has said that raising girls is harder than raising boys. I have to believe that is true even though I do not have a daughter. I am actually glad I am raising boys because I love how their minds work. It was once told to me that girls come out of the womb hormonal and remain that way well into adulthood. I can see how this would be true to a degree. Recently we spent some time with a friend and her daughter who is the same age as my older son. What a handful that child was! The eye rolling, tearfulness, and disrespect was ever present. It was as if the child was teenage instead of a ten year old girl. I just don't thing handle that sort of thing right now. Boys take so much in stride and I love that. Sometimes I wish I had that attitude myself. I can only imagine what a daughter of mine would be like LOL!
