Fond memories.

A couple of years ago we took our older son to Canada for his birthday. It was surprise trip that we planned secretly for quite a while. I made reservations at one of those Toronto hotels and we left at night so he would know where he was going. I printed up an itinerary and clues for him to read along the way. He needed to guess where we were going and what activities were planned based on the itinerary. The trip turned out to be one of our best weekend getaways ever despite the fact we went in the middle of winter. Neither of our children minded the frigid temperatures in the slightest. Even today my son will talk about his adventure and ask if we can do this again someday.
