Good grub...

My husband and I have been trying to follow the Paleo diet. It has been about a week since we started it and so far it is relatively easy. This diet is more of a lifestyle in that you don't just do it for a little while. The idea is that you make changes that are sustainable over a lifetime. We are essentially excluding from our diets the following food groups - grains, dairy, and sugar. You might think this is a tough diet to follow but it really isn't because you get to indulge in things that we have been told are "bad" for us. Eating a meal cooked in butter and a handful of nuts for a snack is pretty great in my opinion. I really don't miss dairy because coconut milk is a great alternative. It really is easy to find things to use in place of traditional foods if you look hard enough.
