Doers...

We have a couple of friends who simply do not understand the life we choose to live. We are a family who likes to be busy being productive and learning new things. Sitting idle is just not something that appeals to us. My husband is always finding something to fix or build or clean. I am always in the kitchen or garden working to bring more food into our house. This isn't something we have to do but it is something we feel good about doing and for the most part enjoy. Today, one of these friends asked my husband if I ever just sit and do nothing. The truth is a do sit but I am never doing nothing. I am looking up useful information on the computer or reading a book to make me better at my skills in the kitchen or the garden. I simply don't feel like staring at the television or the walls. We are "doers".
