Workplace chatter...

Since this morning there is a constant stream of chatter in my husband's office. He is as concerned as anyone about what the future holds for workers in his agency but doesn't feel this is an excuse not to work. He called me this afternoon to tell me how his day was going. He said that all he wants right now is to get ahead on his work so that he can take a moment to breath at some point in the future. It must be really hard to focus with people standing around talking about what might or might not happen. He told me that he might as well sit and read a magazine or some sensa reviews because he can't focus with all the distractions going on. Typically his office is a great place to work but the prospect of a strike seems to have thrown everyone into a tailspin for right now. At least the weekend is but a day or so away. Hopefully next week they will all return with clear heads and a focus on their jobs.
