Thanks for the compliment...

What is it with some people that they just can't seem to say anything nice? I know you know the type of person who just can't seem to pay a compliment without it coming across as a subtle insult. One of my relatives stopped by this week out of the blue. I haven't seen him in several months and was surprised to see him. Since seeing him last I have lost quite a bit of weight and wondered if he would notice. Instead of simply saying that I was looking healthy he made this sarcastic comment. He said something that implied I must have finally found some discount diet pills that worked. I will be the first to admit that I have tried a number of diets over the years and have gained and lost a great deal of weight many times. It just kills me that there are people can't just be happy for you when you do loose weight. I would never make a negative to someone who was dieting. I honestly think that unless you have ever tried to loose a serious amount of weight that you have no idea just how hard it can be. I am proud of my accomplishment no matter what people may say.
